CMC Stitches began with one idea that wouldn’t leave me alone: a spa-loving kitty that felt unexpected, silly, and sweet. That canvas became Spa Kitty.Then designs like Mitzi the Chic Cat Lady and the Poodle in a Pink Convertible came next, each one expanding that character-driven world.

What Every CMC Stitches Canvas Is Designed To Be

Whimsy sits at the center of how I design.

I’m drawn to familiar things styled in ways you don’t expect - a bow where it doesn’t belong, a character caught mid-moment, or an object given just a bit of personality. That sensibility shows up again and again, without ever taking itself too seriously.
It's for stitchers who like a little surprise.

Every canvas is designed to feel clever without being overly cute, playful yet still tasteful, and special enough to become a keepsake, for yourself or someone else.
The ideas are playful, but the approach is thoughtful.

Living with two very silly cats certainly helps, but the real inspiration comes from spotting visual humor and charming details and translating them into needlepoint in a way that feels fresh and distinctive.
